இதனிடையே, மாணவர்களிடம் இணையம் கற்க ஏற்ற சூழல் நிலவுகிறதா? என்பதை கண்டறிய தமிழகம், கர்நாடகா, ஆந்திரா மற்றும் தெலுங்கானா ஆகிய மாநிலங்களில் ஆய்வு மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. அதில், 95% மாணவர்களிடம் ஆன்லைன் கல்வி மூலம் கல்வி கற்பதற்கான ஏற்ற சூழல் இல்லை என்பது தெரியவந்தது. மேலும், தமிழகத்தில் 1,740 பேரிடம் நடத்தப்பட்ட ஆய்வில், 3% மாணவர்களிடம் மட்டுமே ஸ்மார்ட் போன் இருப்பதும் ஆய்வில் தெரியவந்துள்ளது.
இந்தநிலையில், ஆன்லைன் வழி கல்வி கட்டாயம் கிடையாது என பள்ளிக்கல்வி ஆணையர் அதிரடியான அறிவித்துள்ளார். இதுதொடர்பாக அவர் வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிக்கையில், ஆன்லைன் வழி கல்வியை பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்கு எந்த காரணத்துக் கொண்டும் கட்டாயப்படுத்தக் கூடாது. பள்ளி நிர்வாகம் கட்டாயப்படுத்தினால் மின்னஞ்சல் மூலம் பெற்றோர் புகார் தெரிவிக்கலாம்.
